Pickup Overturns in Taloda Taluka; 8 Dead, Several Critically Injured
In Maharashtra, eight persons were killed and 28 others injured after a pickup vehicle overturned at Chandshaili Ghat in Taloda taluka of Nandurbar district. The victims were returning from the Astamba pilgrimage yesterday when the mishap took place. Preliminary information suggests that more than 40 people were travelling in the vehicle. Police said, of the injured, 15 are reported to be in critical condition. They were first admitted to the Taloda sub-district hospital and later shifted to the Nandurbar district hospital for treatment. The injured include residents of Ghotane, Shamsherpur, and Shabri Hatti areas of Nandurbar taluka and city.
