State govt is paying attention to sports and devp works: Jaisingh

Raipur, Nov 24: Revenue and Disaster Management, Rehabilitation and Commercial Tax (Registration and Stamp) Minister and Minister in-charge of Bilaspur district, Mr. Jaisingh Agrawal, on Tuesday inaugurated block level women’s sports at Kota in Bilaspur district. On this occasion, he said that along with development works, the Chhattisgarh government is also paying attention to the development of sports. About 100 girl students of high school and higher secondary schools of development block Kota are participating in the two-day competition being organised in the Higher Secondary School. In which competitions of sports like Kabaddi, Volley Ball, Wrestling and Archery will be organised. Inaugurating the competition, Mr. Agarwal said that competition has been started for women at the block level.
In which the girl students are getting an opportunity to show their talent. He said that as per the policy of the government to promote sports, sports competitions are being organised at every level. The government is paying special attention to education, sports, health, roads and cleanliness. Workers, farmers, tribals, dalits, backward classes, better works are being done for all. He said that continuous efforts are on to ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach the general public.
The state is a leader in the field of cleanliness. Chhattisgarh has received 67 awards in this field. By establishing Swami Atmanand excellent English medium schools, the government has provided high quality education to the poor students. Considering the quality of these schools, there is a competition for admission here. He said that along with the plain areas, in remote districts like Bijapur, Sukma, Dantewada, Swami Atmanand has made excellent education arrangements by setting up excellent English medium schools. Appealing to all the players to play with sportsmanship, he said that through excellent sports, make a mark in the state and the country. The program was presided over by District Panchayat President, Arun Singh Chouhan.
On this occasion, District Education Officer S. Prasad and other officials Mr. Vijay Kesharwani, Mr. Aditya Dixit, Principal of the school Dr. Anita Dubey, other teachers and students were present in large numbers. The minister in charge tried his hand in archery and encouraged the girls.
