South India Will Also Bloom with BJP’s Lotus: Nitin Nabin on Poll Results
National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nitin Nabin, on Monday described the party’s performance in the recent Assembly elections as a “historic mandate,” attributing the outcome to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing the media, Nabin thanked the electorate for its support and said the results in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry reflected growing public confidence in the BJP.
“This is a historic moment for us. The party has received a mandate in four states and one Union Territory. I thank the people for reposing their trust in the BJP. The results indicate confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.
He also referred to the party’s improved performance in Kerala and the NDA’s victory in Puducherry, expressing confidence about the BJP’s future prospects in southern India.
“In the coming times, the BJP will continue to expand its presence in southern states,” he said.
Nabin credited the party’s performance to the efforts of its workers, stating that the results were a reflection of sustained organisational work at the grassroots level.
He also referred to the political conditions in West Bengal, noting that party workers had continued their activities despite challenges.
The BJP president further said that the election results indicate a shift in public sentiment towards what he described as governance-based politics under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
The remarks come as counting of votes continues for Assembly elections in Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The BJP has retained its position in Assam and registered gains in Puducherry. (ANI)
