Sikh Community in Nepal Celebrates 556th Guru Nanak Jayanti with Prayers and Festivities
Guru Nanak Jayanti is being observed by the Sikh community living in Nepal today. On the 556th birthday celebration of the founder of Sikh religion, Gurudwara in Lalitpur was decorated and thousands of sikhs and other devotees visited Gurudwara. Guru Nanak Dev had inspired humanity for tolerance, compassion and love. The prayers were held and sermons were recited in Gurudwara today. People also lit lamps in their homes across Nepal on the auspicious day of Kartik purnima.
