Sensex gains 333 pts, Nifty ends at 23,731
Benchmark domestic equity indices, Sensex and Nifty, were trading with gains in the afternoon trade today amid muted global cues.
The 30-share BSE Sensex gained 333 points, or 0.43 percent, to 78,472, and the NSE Nifty50 added 87 points, or 0.37 percent, to 23,731, when reports last came in.
The broader market at the Bombay Stock Exchange were also trading in positive territory. The Mid-Cap index was trading up by 0.19 percent and the Small-Cap index gained over 0.8 percent, a short while ago.
