Scindia inaugurates Bharat Pavilion at Mobile World Congress 2026, positions India as trusted digital leader

Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya Scindia, inaugurated the Bharat Pavilion at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona on Tuesday, positioning India as a trusted and emerging global leader in digital infrastructure and telecom innovation.

Addressing the media, the Minister said that as the world deliberates the future of connectivity in the “IQ Era,” India stands at the intersection of intelligence and infrastructure — where connectivity meets capability and innovation meets inclusion. He underlined that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, India’s telecom transformation has been driven by indigenous research and development, trusted telecom ecosystems, production-linked incentives, and deep integration into global value chains.

“India is not only building networks for its 1.4 billion citizens but also building trusted digital bridges for the world,” Scindia said. “Guided by the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, we believe connectivity must empower humanity, strengthen partnerships, and create shared prosperity.”

The Bharat Pavilion this year features more than 40 Indian telecom innovators spanning the entire value chain, including 4G and 5G technologies, emerging 6G research, Open RAN, optical and satellite communications, semiconductor design, AI-driven network intelligence, cybersecurity solutions, telecom software, and digital platforms. The expanded presence reflects growing global confidence in India’s telecom capabilities and its rapidly strengthening innovation ecosystem.

During his visit, the Minister toured several company booths and interacted with representatives from Anant Systems, XS Infosol Pvt. Ltd., SignalChip, RV Solutions, Neosoft Technologies, Cellcom, C-DOT, and GX India. He reviewed indigenous telecom hardware, semiconductor designs, AI-enabled platforms, and next-generation network infrastructure, appreciating their role in advancing a self-reliant and globally competitive telecom ecosystem.

Scindia noted that the strong Indian participation at MWC 2026 demonstrates the country’s commitment to building secure networks, advancing AI-led telecom infrastructure, promoting trusted ecosystems, and expanding telecom exports worldwide.

India’s participation at the global technology platform has been organised by the Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC), with support from the Department of Telecommunications under the Ministry of Communications, Government of India.
