Batting first, Royal Challengers Bengaluru posted a commanding total of 213 for 5 in 20 overs, powered by Romario Shepherd’s explosive 14-ball fifty, the second-fastest in IPL history. Matheesha Pathirana picked up three wickets for Chennai.
Chasing the target, Chennai Super Kings finished with 211 for 5 in 20 overs. Ayush Mhatre top-scored with 94 off 48 balls, while Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten on 77 off 45 balls. For Bengaluru, Lungi Ngidi scalped three wickets.
Shepherd has been named player of the match for his fastest unbeaten 53 off 14 balls.
With this win, Bengaluru are now one step closer to the playoffs, securing 16 points, while Chennai were already eliminated from the playoff race earlier this match.
