President Murmu extends greetings on the eve of Indian New Year –

President Droupadi Murmu has extended her greetings to the people on the eve of Chaitra Sukladi, Ugadi, Gudi Padava, Cheti Chand, Navreh and Sajibu Cheiraoba.
In a message, the President said that these festivals, celebrated at the onset of spring season, symbolize the beginning of the Indian New Year. She said these festivals showcase India’s cultural diversity and promote social cohesion. She said that during these festivals, people celebrate the joy of the new harvest and express their gratitude to nature. On the occasion, the President appealed to the people to strengthen the spirit of harmony and unity and work with renewed energy to take the nation to new heights.
