PM Modi, Venezuela Acting President discuss expanding bilateral cooperation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday received a telephone call from the Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Eloína Rodríguez Gómez.

During the conversation, the two leaders agreed to further expand and deepen the India–Venezuela partnership across all major areas of cooperation. These include trade and investment, energy, digital technology, health, agriculture, and people-to-people exchanges.

Both leaders also exchanged views on regional and global developments of mutual interest. They underscored the importance of close cooperation between India and Venezuela in advancing the interests of the Global South.

The discussion reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to strengthen bilateral ties and maintain regular contact to further enhance collaboration in the coming years.
