PM Modi tops global approval rankings with 68% rating: Morning Consult

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again emerged as the world’s most popular leader, securing a 68 per cent approval rating in the latest global survey conducted by US-based data analytics firm Morning Consult.
According to the survey, conducted between March 2 and 8, PM Modi maintained a clear lead over other global leaders, continuing his dominance in international approval rankings.
The survey places Switzerland’s President Guy Parmelin and South Korea’s President Lee Jae-myung in the second position, both with 62 per cent approval ratings. Leaders from the Czech Republic and Argentina follow with 57 per cent and 56 per cent approval ratings respectively.
In contrast, US President Donald Trump recorded a 39 per cent approval rating and did not feature among the top ten leaders in the rankings.
Among European leaders, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer received 24 per cent approval, while French President Emmanuel Macron stood at 17 per cent, placing him near the bottom of the list.
The rankings are based on a seven-day moving average of adult opinions across multiple countries.
The latest survey also comes as PM Modi recently reached a milestone in public life, becoming one of India’s longest-serving leaders in a head-of-government role, with a combined tenure spanning his years as Gujarat Chief Minister and Prime Minister.
