PM Modi to inaugurate India AI Impact Expo 2026 at Bharat Mandapam on February 16

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India AI Impact Expo 2026 at 5 pm on February 16 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, according to an official release issued on Sunday.

The Expo will be held from February 16 to 20 alongside the India AI Impact Summit and is being positioned as a national demonstration of “AI in action” — where policy meets practice, innovation meets scale and technology connects with citizens.

Spread across 10 arenas covering more than 70,000 square metres, the event will bring together global technology firms, startups, academia and research institutions, Union Ministries, State Governments and international partners.

The Expo will feature over 300 curated exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations structured around three thematic “chakras” — People, Planet and Progress. Organisers said the design reflects a focus on inclusive growth, sustainability and technological advancement.

More than 600 high-potential startups are expected to participate, many of them building population-scale and globally relevant AI solutions. Several startups will showcase technologies already deployed in real-world settings.

Thirteen country pavilions will also be part of the Expo, highlighting international collaboration in the AI ecosystem. Participating countries include Australia, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Estonia and Tajikistan, along with a collective Africa pavilion.

The five-day event is expected to draw over 2.5 lakh visitors, including international delegates. Officials said the Expo aims to foster new partnerships and create business opportunities within the global AI landscape.

More than 500 sessions are scheduled during the event, featuring over 3,250 speakers and panellists. Discussions will focus on the transformative impact of artificial intelligence across sectors and charting future pathways to ensure AI benefits citizens globally.
