PM Modi stresses trade, technology and strategic partnerships at Heads of Missions Conference

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday attended the 11th Heads of Missions Conference in New Delhi, underscoring the importance of strengthening India’s global engagement through trade, technology, and strategic partnerships.

The conference, held from April 28 to 30, brought together Indian ambassadors, high commissioners, and senior officials to deliberate on enhancing the country’s diplomatic outreach in a rapidly evolving global landscape.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said “Attended the Heads of Missions Conference in New Delhi. We had extensive discussions on strengthening India’s global engagement through advancing trade, technology and strategic partnerships, while deepening the connect with our diaspora.”

Earlier, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar addressed the participants, noting the significant expansion of India’s international engagement over the past decade. He emphasized that in an increasingly volatile and uncertain world, Indian diplomacy remains focused on advancing national interests and achieving key strategic objectives.

The conference serves as a key platform for aligning India’s diplomatic priorities, with a focus on boosting economic ties, leveraging emerging technologies, and reinforcing strategic partnerships across regions.
