PM Modi, Serbian President hold talks in Delhi on sidelines of India AI Impact Summit 2026

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić on Wednesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026.
In a post on X, PM Modi said “Met President Aleksandar Vučić on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit. We discussed ways to deepen cooperation in areas such as defence, manufacturing, DPI, fertilisers and infrastructure. For many years, India and Serbia have worked closely and I am confident our ties will gain even more momentum in the times to come.”
President Vučić reaffirmed the strength of the friendship between the peoples of Serbia and India, describing India as a reliable and important partner. He said Serbia is keen to expand economic exchanges and encourage new investment projects. He also expressed appreciation for India’s interest in significant participation in Expo 2027, which Serbia is set to host.
President Vučić arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday to participate in the India AI Impact Summit and was received at the airport by Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the Serbian President’s participation in the summit would impart further momentum to the strong and close friendship between the two nations.
