PM Modi pays tributes to Biju Patnaik on his birth anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tributes to former Odisha Chief Minister Biju Patnaik on his 110th birth anniversary, remembering his dedication to the progress and development of Odisha.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said, “On his birth anniversary today, I pay tributes to Shri Biju Patnaik Ji and remember his passion towards furthering the progress of Odisha.”
Biju Patnaik served as the Chief Minister of the state twice – first from 1961 to 1963 and later from 1990 to 1995.
Meanwhile, his son and Leader of the Opposition in the Odisha Assembly, Naveen Patnaik, also paid heartfelt tributes to the former Chief Minister.
In a post on X, Naveen Patnaik described his father as a “great people’s hero and pride of the Odias” and said his ideals continue to inspire the workers of the Biju Janata Dal.
“Every worker of the Biju Janata Dal remains ever dedicated to the service of Odisha Ma in his ideals. His ethos of building the best Odisha by taking everyone along is an eternal source of inspiration for all of us,” he said.
