PM Modi invites students, parents and teachers to join Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday invited students, parents and teachers across the country to participate in the 9th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2026, scheduled to be held on February 6 at 10 am.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said this year’s edition will focus on key aspects of examinations, including the importance of remaining stress-free and maintaining a learning-oriented mindset. He described Pariksha Pe Charcha as a platform he has always enjoyed, as it allows him to engage directly with young minds from across India.

“Do watch #ParikshaPeCharcha26 tomorrow, 6th February at 10 AM. This year’s PPC features very interesting topics relating to examinations, notably the need to remain stress free, focus on learning and more. This is a platform I’ve always enjoyed, as it gives me an opportunity to interact with bright minds from across the country,” the Prime Minister said.

The interactive session, aimed at helping students manage exam stress and encouraging them to view examinations as a positive and celebratory experience, will be broadcast live on the Prime Minister’s YouTube channel, Doordarshan, and the Ministry of Education’s social media platforms. It will also be streamed on multiple OTT platforms including WAVES OTT, Amazon Prime Video, Jio, ZEE5, Sony LIV, and Spotify (audio).

For the first time since its inception, Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 has been organised across multiple locations to ensure wider national participation. In addition to New Delhi, the programme has been held at four locations – Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Dev Mogra (Gujarat), and Guwahati (Assam) – covering the eastern, western, northern, southern and central regions of the country.

Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the initiative seeks to reshape students’ perceptions of examinations by fostering confidence, positivity and holistic well-being, while celebrating the exam season as an Utsav. Prime Minister Modi has also articulated these ideas in his book Exam Warriors, available in multiple languages and in Braille, which encourages self-belief and open conversations around exam-related stress.

Over the years, Pariksha Pe Charcha has evolved into a nationwide Jan Andolan, witnessing growing participation from students, parents and teachers. Registrations for the ninth edition have crossed all previous records, with over 4.5 crore participants registering through the MyGov portal.

As part of the run-up to PPC 2026, several student-centric activities were organised across schools nationwide. These included the Swadeshi Sankalp Daud, a student-led run and walk promoting self-reliance, along with quiz and writing competitions held at selected Kendriya Vidyalayas on Parakram Diwas. Around 4.81 crore students took part in these activities.

The unprecedented participation reflects the continued support of States, Union Territories and autonomous bodies under the Ministry of Education, underscoring the growing impact of Pariksha Pe Charcha in shaping a more supportive and stress-free academic environment for learners across the country.
