PM Modi Holds Talks with Dutch PM, Reviews Bilateral Partnership

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday held a telephonic conversation with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Rob Jetten, and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across key sectors.
The two leaders reviewed the growing India-Netherlands partnership and explored opportunities to expand collaboration in areas such as semiconductors, green hydrogen, water management and talent mobility.
Semiconductors emerged as a major area of focus, with India advancing its domestic manufacturing capabilities and the Netherlands known for its expertise in semiconductor technology and equipment.
Green hydrogen also figured prominently in the discussions, in line with India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission and the Netherlands’ strengths in clean energy innovation and infrastructure.
The leaders also discussed cooperation in large-scale water management projects, where Dutch experience in flood control, delta management and sustainable water solutions can support India’s efforts towards water security and climate resilience.
Both sides underlined the importance of facilitating mobility of skilled professionals and students to further strengthen people-to-people ties.
In addition to bilateral cooperation, the two leaders exchanged views on the situation in West Asia. Prime Minister Modi stressed the need for early restoration of peace and stability in the region.
