PM Modi highlights education reforms for 21st century at YUGM conclave –

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the government is modernising the country’s education system to meet the needs of the 21st century. He added that the Centre is bringing world-class knowledge within every student’s reach in the country. Mr. Modi stated this while addressing the YUGM Conclave, a first-of-its-kind strategic conclave convening leaders from government, academia, industry, and innovators at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today. He highlighted that a country’s future is dependent on its youth, which is why it is crucial to prepare them for India’s bright future. Mr Modi said, India’s university campuses are emerging as dynamic centres where the Youth are driving breakthrough innovations. He said, ‘One Nation One Subscription’ is bringing world-class knowledge within every student’s reach. The Prime Minister said that, in this year’s budget, the Government has decided to increase the number of seats and capacity at IITS. He said, Several Meditech courses have been started in collaboration with IITS and AIIMS. Mr Modi stressed to complete this journey on time and ensure that India is included in the list of the best in the world for every future technology.
Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan said, before 2014, there were three operational research parks. He said that, after 2014, six additional parks have been established, and the Government is planning to create thirteen more research parks.
Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Jitendra Singh said, 21st century belongs to India. He said, in the last 11 years Narendra Modi Government has given top priority to innovation.
