PM Modi condoles loss of lives in Thrissur cracker factory mishap, announces ex
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed grief over the loss of lives in a tragic mishap at a cracker factory in Thrissur, Kerala.
Extending his condolences to the bereaved families, the Prime Minister said he was deeply saddened by the incident and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.
In a statement, the Prime Minister also announced financial assistance from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh will be provided to the next of kin of each deceased, while those injured in the mishap will receive Rs. 50,000.
