Pair of Chirag Shetty & Rankireddy advance to qrt finals –

In the Indonesia Open Badminton, Indian pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy has progressed to quarter finals of the tournament. They defeated Danish pair of Rasmus Kjær and Frederik Søgaard 2-1 at Istora Gelora Bung Karno in Jakarta.
Earlier today in Women’s Singles, star Indian shuttler P V Sindhu faced a major defeat against Thai shuttler Pornpawee Chochuwong by 22-20, 10-21, 18-21 in the pre-quarterfinals. Another Indian pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand lost to Japanese pair of Mayu Matsumoto and Yuki Fukushima in Round of 16 clash of Women’s Doubles by 13-21, 22-24.
