Sitharaman also shared progress made under other social security schemes aimed at expanding financial access.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), a total of 26.88 crore cumulative enrolments have been recorded as of February 25. The scheme provides a life insurance cover of ₹2 lakh in case of death due to any reason.

The Finance Minister said that the Atal Pension Yojana (APY) has recorded 8.84 crore cumulative enrolments as of February 25. The scheme provides a guaranteed monthly pension to eligible subscribers after retirement.
Sitharaman also highlighted progress under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY). Under the scheme, 57.26 crore loans amounting to ₹39.48 lakh crore have been sanctioned to micro and small business units for income-generating activities across manufacturing, trading and service sectors, including activities related to agriculture.
Under the Stand-Up India Scheme, 2.75 lakh loans worth ₹62,790 crore have been sanctioned to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and women entrepreneurs for setting up greenfield enterprises in manufacturing, trading, services and agriculture-related sectors.

The platform enables seamless delivery of welfare benefits through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) by linking bank accounts with Aadhaar and mobile numbers.
