Nepal celebrates Akshaya Tritiya by buying gold & silver –

Akshaya Tritiya is celebrated in Nepal today with the Hindu community offering kul-puja to their ancestors and buying precious metals like gold and silver. Despite the high gold rate in the domestic market, in the New Road Gold market of Kathmandu, people were seen buying gold pieces of jewellery and silver coins. In Nepal, starting new ventures, making charitable donations, or investing in property today is considered highly auspicious.
