NCC Cadets pledge to obey traffic rules

Bhilai, Dec 08: Under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police (Durg) Badri Narayan Meena, an awareness session was conducted by Traffic Police for the cadets attending the NCC camp at Ravishankar Stadium in Durg. Gurjit Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) provided detailed information regarding traffic rules.
NCC 37 CG Battalion is organising NCC camp in Durg which is being attended by 234 cadets (boys and girls) from 10 colleges of Durg district. Traffic Police Durg conducted the 186th awareness programme of traffic rules at this camp.
The cadets were detailed about the rules of traffic, precautions to be taken while overtaking, road signs board, road markings, where to park the vehicle, etc. Information was given on do’s and don’ts as well as expected traffic behaviour. They were informed about the documents which are required to drive a vehicle.
The most important information was about the protection provided by law to the person helping the injured person (Good Samaritan) in a road accident. Traffic Cops provided other important information and administered an oath to the cadets.
They pledged to always follow the traffic rules in future and to make the family, relatives and friends aware of the traffic rules. With efforts of every citizen, the district will be able to achieve zero-accident status in the time to come.
During the programme, NCC 37 CG Battalion Colonel Hemant Dubey, Lt. Col. R Setu Madhavan, Subedar Major Bhupathi Thapa, Subedar Mukesh Kumar, Subedar OP Gupta, Lt Harish Kashyap, KJ Mandal, Laxman Prasad, Surekha Jawade, Uma P Bala Raju and all Staff and 234 NCC cadets were present.
