MP’s free health camp finds place in India Book of Records

A week-long multi-speciality health camp organised in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district has been recognised by the India Book of Records, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Wednesday.

Held from March 17 to 24 at the district hospital, the camp was organised under the joint aegis of the Madhavrao Scindia Health Service Mission, the Rotary Regional Medical Mission, and the state government. The initiative offered services ranging from diagnosis of complex ailments — including eye, dental and orthopaedic conditions — to advanced consultations and robotic surgeries, with support from both in-person and virtual medical teams.

Equipped with modern technology, the camp aimed to ensure timely and quality treatment, particularly for people in rural and remote areas. Thousands of patients underwent diagnostic tests and received treatment during the drive.

Shivpuri falls under the Guna Lok Sabha constituency represented by Scindia. Calling the recognition a milestone beyond numbers, he said it reflected a commitment to ensuring that no underprivileged individual is denied access to quality healthcare. He also congratulated the Rotary Club, doctors, paramedical staff and volunteers involved, describing the camp as a collective effort driven by service and public welfare.
