As torrential monsoon rains continue to batter Pakistan, another eight people died across the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 266. Pakistan’s Punjab province is the worst-affected region, recording the highest number of casualties, with over 144 deaths and 488 injuries.

Reports suggest that over the past week, several areas have experienced intense urban flooding, with water levels reaching three to five feet inside homes and on streets, causing widespread destruction and severely affecting the residents.
