MEA sets up special control room amid West Asia tensions; releases embassy helpline numbers

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Wednesday said it has set up a special control room in view of the evolving situation in West Asia and the Gulf region and released emergency contact numbers of Indian embassies across the region to assist Indian nationals.
In a statement, the MEA said the control room will operate daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and can be contacted through the following numbers: 1800118797 (toll-free), +91 11 23012113, +91 11 23014104 and +91 11 23017905.
The ministry also shared emergency helpline numbers of Indian embassies in several countries in the region.
