Manipur Police Detect Illegal Immigrants and Seize Arms in Special Drive
In Manipur, the State Police has found illegal immigrants and foreign national without valid documents during the special drive. A Police report said that during the drive conducted since last week, police detected 170 persons without ILP Pass and 134 carried expired ILP documents.
These defaulters were taken to ILP Counter and made to acquired the required ILP Pass. The report further said that two cadres of proscribed outfit- KCP (PWG) were arrested during search operations conducted yesterday in Imphal East and Imphal West district. They were involved in extortion from general public. In another operation conducted yesterday at Gothol Village of Churachandpur district, police recovered one AK Ghatak rifles, two improvised pumpi mortar, four improvised rocket bomb and 19 improvised pump mortar round.
