Major broad daylight burglary reported in Rajendra Nagar

Raipur, Nov 22: In a sensational broad daylight burglary reported in Rajendra Nagar police station, unidentified burglars broke into locked house situated in Happy Home Colony and reportedly decamped with valuables worth Rs 9 lakh.
According to police, complainant Rsmchandra Ramteke is a doctor posted in a private hospital at Durg. On Sunday Dr Ramteke left for Durg at about 2:00 pm and returned by 6:00 pm. However on his arrival, he found the main door’s lock broken and missing. Further entering inside, he found that CCTV camera’s DVR has been stolen as had been stolen a laptop computer.
The almirah too was also broken open from where the burglars had taken away all the left ornaments and cash Rs 2 lakh, all totaling to Rs 9 lakh.
Police meanwhile have registered an offence under Section 454, 380 IPC against unidentified burglars and further investigation is now underway.
