Kerala CM Satheesan meets Amit Shah in New Delhi

Kerala Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan on Wednesday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the national capital, marking their first interaction since he assumed office earlier this month.

The meeting came a day after Satheesan held talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during his two-day visit to Delhi.

Satheesan was sworn in as Kerala Chief Minister on May 18 after leading his party to a commanding victory in the Kerala Assembly elections, with the alliance securing a clear majority in the 140-member House.

The Chief Minister’s visit to Delhi is being viewed as part of his government’s outreach to the Centre on key administrative, financial and infrastructure-related matters concerning Kerala.
