IMD issues heatwave alert for Rajasthan, Western Himalayas –

The Indian Meteorological department-IMD has forecast heat waves in southwest Rajasthan and the western Himalayan region over the next 2 days. According to IMD, the active western disturbance will cause light rainfall, thunderstorms and dust storms over the plains of the northwest parts of the country, including the national capital, from 1st May onwards. Talking to Akashvani News, IMD senior scientist Dr. R. K. Jenamani has said that the orange colour warning for moderate to severe thunderstorms has been issued to Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, and Jharkhand for the next 2-3 days.
