ICC announces schedule for Women’s ODI WC 2025 –

The International Cricket Council (ICC) today announced the full schedule for the 2025 ICC Women’s ODI World Cup, set to be played from 30th September to 2nd of November in India and Sri Lanka. While India holds official hosting rights, Sri Lanka will serve as the neutral venue for all of Pakistan’s matches due to ongoing political tensions between the two nations. This will be the fourth time India hosts the Women’s ODI World Cup and the first since 2013. India will begin their campaign against Sri Lanka on 30th September at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The highly anticipated India-Pakistan clash is scheduled for 5th October at Colombo’s R Premadasa Stadium.
Defending champions Australia will open against New Zealand in Indore on 1st October. The round-robin stage will conclude on 26th October , followed by semifinals on 29th and 30th October. The final will be played on 2nd November.
The eight-team tournament features India, Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
