Heavy rains lashed several parts of Hyderabad
In Telangana, Heavy rains lashed several parts of Hyderabad last evening in late hours, with several areas, including Vanasthalipuram, Hayathnagar areas receiving very heavy rainfall over 100 mm during a 2-hour period. Many areas in the old city including Nampally received the highest of 124.8 mm rainfall till early this morning. Khaiaratabad received over 120 mm and Charminar received 112.5 mm of rainfall. This is the third time during this month that the rains in Hyderabad have crossed over 100 mm. Several areas marooned and low lying areas were stormed with rainwater. Meanwhile, Met officials have warned of heavy rains for the next few days in several parts of Telangana.
