Govt’s zero tolerance policy against terrorism results in significant reduction in terror incidents –

The government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism which resulted in a significant reduction in the terror incidents in the country. Replying to supplementarity in the Rajya Sabha today, Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai said the government has strengthened the National Investigation Agency (NIA) with more power to probe terror-related incidents and activities even outside of the country. He said the NIA is probing the incident related to attacks on the Indian High Commission in London and the Consulate General of India in San Francisco. He added that the Centre is taking stringent measures to eliminate terrorism from the country.
