Government committed to regular dialogue with employee organisations: Jitendra Singh

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh on Saturday reiterated the government’s commitment to engaging with employee organisations through regular dialogue and constructive consultations, saying sustained administrative reforms have helped resolve several long-pending service-related grievances of government employees.
Speaking during an interaction with a delegation of the Bhartiya Postal Employees Federation (BPEF), the minister said the government’s focus on transparency, accountability and employee welfare has led to the resolution of legacy service issues that had remained pending for nearly 25 to 30 years.
“The Government remains committed to engaging with employee organisations through regular dialogue and constructive consultations,” Singh said, adding that responsive governance and timely decision-making have made grievance redressal a key pillar of public administration.
The 12-member BPEF delegation, affiliated with the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) and led by General Secretary Ananta Kumar Pal, met the minister at his official residence in New Delhi. The delegation included representatives from Bihar, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and several other states, reflecting the federation’s nationwide presence.
During the meeting, the delegation raised a range of issues concerning postal employees, including service matters, employee welfare, recognition-related concerns and the need for faster resolution of pending administrative and legal cases. Representatives also sought coordinated action on issues involving multiple ministries and departments.
Responding to the concerns, Singh said every genuine representation submitted by employee organisations is examined on merit and in accordance with established rules and procedures. He noted that matters involving multiple ministries require broader institutional consultations to ensure legally sound, transparent and sustainable decisions.
The Minister encouraged employee representatives to continue submitting documented suggestions and feedback to help strengthen governance and improve public service delivery.
Members of the federation welcomed the government’s emphasis on administrative reforms and acknowledged that several service-related grievances, which had remained unresolved for decades, have received focused attention in recent years. They said improvements in grievance redressal mechanisms, transparency and administrative responsiveness have enhanced employees’ confidence in the system.
The delegation also appreciated the role of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) in promoting transparent, accountable and citizen-centric governance through administrative reforms and institutional capacity building.
Expressing confidence in the government’s consultative approach, the federation thanked Singh for maintaining regular engagement with employee organisations and voiced hope that legitimate service-related concerns would continue to be addressed while advancing employee welfare, administrative efficiency and good governance.
