Fund Mobilisation Hits Record Rs 3.15 Lakh Crore in June: NSE Report

Total fund mobilisation through equity, debt and business trusts reached a record Rs 3.15 lakh crore in June 2026, registering a 122 per cent month-on-month increase, according to the latest NSE Market Pulse report.

The surge was largely driven by debt issuances, which rose 142 per cent over the previous month to Rs 2.59 lakh crore, supported by higher issuances of Commercial Papers (CPs) and privately placed Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs).

According to the report, Commercial Paper issuances more than doubled to Rs 1.9 lakh crore, while private NCD issuances increased to nearly Rs 69,700 crore, reflecting strong funding demand from corporates.

Equity fund mobilisation also witnessed a sharp recovery, rising 83 per cent month-on-month to around Rs 53,000 crore. The growth was led by higher preferential allotments and Qualified Institutional Placements (QIPs).

The report said preferential allotments remained the largest source of equity capital, raising around Rs 22,500 crore, followed by secondary market Offer for Sale (OFS) issuances of nearly Rs 21,000 crore. QIPs mobilised approximately Rs 7,500 crore, while initial public offerings (IPOs) across the Mainboard and NSE EMERGE platforms collectively raised about Rs 1,900 crore.

In contrast, fund mobilisation through Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs) moderated to around Rs 2,000 crore in June, compared with Rs 5,000 crore in May.

The report noted that primary market activity remained measured during the first quarter of FY27, with eight Mainboard IPOs raising approximately Rs 4,700 crore and 14 companies on the NSE EMERGE platform mobilising Rs 976 crore through IPOs.

Despite a slower pace of listings compared to FY26, the report said the IPO pipeline remains healthy, with several draft offer documents under various stages of processing, indicating continued interest among companies in raising capital through the markets.

The report further stated that the average Mainboard IPO size in FY27, up to June, stood at around Rs 585 crore, lower than Rs 1,603 crore recorded in FY26. On the SME platform, however, the average IPO size increased to approximately Rs 70 crore, compared with Rs 48 crore in the previous financial year.
