FCI Weeds Out 90,000 Files, Generates ₹16 Lakh from Scrap Disposal under Special Campaign 5.0

Food Corporation of India (FCI) has weeded out about 90 thousand physical files after a thorough review of more than 1 lakh 94 thousand files during the Special Campaign 5.0. Ministry of Food and Public Distribution stated that by the first fortnight of this month, the Corporation has generated revenue of nearly 16 lakh rupees through e-waste and scrap disposal, while freed up around 18 thousand square foot of space across its offices and depots. The Ministry added that the revenue and space utilization figures are expected to further increase after compilation of reports from all regions across India, as the campaign concluded today.
