Ex-security guard arrested for burgling premier liquor shop in Hirapur

Raipur, Dec 09: In a sensational burglary complained in Amanaka police station on Thursday night, unidentified burglars broke into a premium foreign shop situated in Hirupur locality and decamped with huge amount of cash and large quantity of premium foreign liquor. He burglars had also taken away the shop’s CCTV cameras and the DVR Box.
Following the complaint, police registered under offence under Section 457, 380 IPC against unidentified burglars and a massive investigation was launched immediately. Inspection of the shop revealed that the burglar had stolen cash Rs 2,15,910 and liquor bottles worth Rs 2, 14,750. Since the burglars had taken the shop’s CCTV cameras and its DVR Box, police started looking for clues of CCTV cameras installed in neighbouring buildings. Soon this effort ked to recovering several CCTV grabs and from that the suspect was identified as the former security guard of the particular liquor shop. Obtaining his identification as Kaleashwar Prasad Sahu of village Tekar under Sipat police station area in Bilaspur district, a police team rushed to the village and the accused was nabbed from his house. Police also recovered cash Rs 2.07 lakh and liquor bottles worth Rs 2.13 lakh from him.
The accused was then brought to Raipur where he is being interrogated further and also if any other accomplice is also involved in the crime.
