Domestic market ends in green

Benchmark domestic equity indices today ended in positive territory, supported by Oil and Gas, Energy and Healthcare sectors. The 30-share index at the Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex, gained 234 points, or 0.3 per cent, to close at 78,199. Similarly, the National Stock Exchange Nifty-50 added 92 points, almost 0.4 percent, to settle at 23,708.

The broader market indices at BSE outperformed the equity market. The Mid-Cap index advanced over 0.7 percent and the Small-Cap index surged over 1.7 percent.
