Cycle rally taken out for traffic awareness

Bhilai, Feb 05: On the 19th day of 32nd Road Safety Month, a bicycle rally was taken out in the city for spreading awareness regarding traffic rules. The event was organised under the guidance of SP Prashant Thakur. Satish Kumar Vajpayee (Commandant, CISF) and ASP (city) Rohit Kumar Jha flagged off the rally from Shaheed Park in Sector 5.
Praggya Meshram, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural), Ajit Yadav (DSP, IGP Office), Vivek Shukla (City Superintendent of Police, Durg), Aakash Rao Girepunje (SDOP, Patan), Gurjeet Singh (Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic); Jayalal Markam (Assistant Commandant, CAF 1st Battalion), Randhir Singh (Deputy Commandant, CISF), Nilesh Dwivedi (Reserve Inspector Durg), Shruti Singh (Traffic Zone Incharge Durg), Bharti Markam (Traffic Zone Incharge Akash Ganga), Latha Chare (Traffic Zone Incharge Civic Center) and DP Patre (Traffic Zone Incharge Bhilai-03), Inspector Jaspal Singh, Inspector Anish Kumar, Inspector Bimlesh Thakur, Inspector DP Singh, CISF personnel, and traffic police personnel were present. At the outset, street play was staged by the troop of IPTA. All the participants and common citizens were administered oath to abide by the traffic rules. A total of 75 people including cops of Durg Police, Central Industrial Security Force, Frontier Head Quarters of BSF, SSB, traffic warden and common citizens participated in the programme. The rally commenced from Sector 05 and moved across Jayanti Stadium, Bhilai Hotel, Globe Square, Berozgar Square, 7 MT Square, 2.5 MT Square, Sector 02 Square, BSNL Square and concluded at Equipment Square in Sector 01.
