CM Sai praises PM for tribal village upliftment campaign

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching the “Dharti Aaba” tribal village upliftment campaign on Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday. The campaign aims to develop 6,691 villages in Chhattisgarh, benefiting 47 lakh people.

Addressing a virtual event, CM Sai expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for initiating the campaign, which aligns with Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of inclusive development. He noted that the program would bring significant improvements to the lives of tribal communities in Chhattisgarh.

Sai also inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development works worth Rs 192 crores in Balrampur-Ramanujganj district. These projects include, Infrastructure development, Education and healthcare facilities, Irrigation and water supply schemes, Roads and bridges.

During the event, Sai distributed benefits to beneficiaries, including PM Awas Yojana keys, vocational training certificates, financial aid to disaster-affected families, Van Adhikar Pattas (forest rights certificates) and for livestock development and other schemes.

The Chief Minister announced several development projects for Balrampur-Ramanujganj district including the construction of a bridge over the Mahan river, new school building for Higher Secondary School, Ramanujganj, construction of a bridge at Chandar Muskhora nullah and establishment of an Additional Collector’s link court in Ramanujganj.

Sai also announced the construction of 50-seater boys’ and girls’ hostels for Pando tribe students and annual Karma Mahotsav celebrations in Bilaspur and Sarguja divisions.

The event was attended by local MPs, MLAs and other dignitaries.
