Cabinet approves ‘PM Tribal Development Gram Yojana’ with Rs 79,156 crore budget

Raipur: The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Narendra Modi, has approved the ‘PM Tribal Development Gram Yojana’ to uplift tribal communities. The program will benefit over 5 crore tribal people across 63,000 villages, with a focus on improving social-economic conditions.
The budget allocation is Rs 79,156 crore, with Rs 56,333 crore from the central government and Rs 22,823 crore from state governments.
Chhattisgarh Minister Ramvichar Netam thanked PM Modi, citing the scheme’s potential to enhance basic amenities in tribal-dominated villages and improve living standards.
The program aims to bridge gaps in social infrastructure, health, education, and livelihood through various government schemes, ensuring holistic development of tribal areas.
