Box Office Report: ‘Drishyam 3’ Shines in Monday Test, ‘The One’ and ‘Hanuman Ansh’ See Sharp Drop
Box Office Collection: Ajay Devgn’s ‘Drishyam 3’ continues to perform strongly at the box office. The film maintained a solid pace even on Monday after a strong opening weekend and is now very close to crossing the ₹200 crore mark in India net collection.
Meanwhile, ‘Prem Keetanu’, ‘The One – Force of the Forest’ and ‘Hanuman Ansh’ witnessed a significant drop in their Monday collections.
‘Drishyam 3’ Continues Its Strong Run on Monday
Released on October 2, ‘Drishyam 3’ attracted audiences from its opening day. Starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Jaideep Ahlawat, the film opened with around ₹62 crore on its first day.
The film then collected approximately ₹53.50 crore on Saturday and ₹61 crore on Sunday. Although collections naturally declined on Monday after the weekend, the film still managed to earn around ₹21 crore.
With this, the film’s India net collection has reached approximately ₹197.54 crore. Made on a reported budget of around ₹150 crore, the film has delivered a strong performance so far.
Given its current momentum, ‘Drishyam 3’ could cross the ₹200 crore milestone very soon.
‘Prem Keetanu’ Continues to Struggle
Released on the same day as ‘Drishyam 3’, ‘Prem Keetanu’ has failed to attract a significant audience at the box office. The film opened weakly and its performance deteriorated further over the following days.
The film earned just ₹50 lakh on its opening day. Its Saturday collection stood at around ₹35 lakh, while it managed only ₹28 lakh on Sunday despite the weekend.
On Monday, the fourth day, the film’s collection dropped to approximately ₹10 lakh. Its net collection for the first three days was reportedly around ₹1.21 crore.
Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, the film features Veer Pahariya, Afia Sayed and Aparshakti Khurana in key roles.
‘The One’ Collection Falls From Crores to Lakhs
Starring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, ‘The One – Force of the Forest’ has completed 11 days in theatres. The film initially recorded a decent response, but its daily collections have now dropped sharply.
The movie collected around ₹53.60 crore during its first week. It received some support during its second weekend, earning approximately ₹3.25 crore on Sunday, its tenth day.
However, its Monday collection fell sharply into the lakhs. On its 11th day, ‘The One’ earned around ₹95 lakh, taking its total India net collection to approximately ₹63.05 crore.
The film also stars Sunil Grover, Shweta Tiwari and Maniesh Paul in important roles.
‘Hanuman Ansh’ Slows Down but Maintains Strong Overall Collection
‘Hanuman Ansh’ has remained in theatres for an extended period and has delivered a strong overall box office performance. Nearly two months after its release, the film is still earning money, although its daily collections have now fallen into the lakhs.
On Sunday, the film earned approximately ₹3 crore on its 59th day. On Monday, its 60th day, the collection dropped to around ₹75 lakh.
Despite the slowdown, the film’s total India net collection has reached approximately ₹325.48 crore, making it one of the films that has enjoyed a long theatrical run.
‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ Loses Momentum
‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ also appears to be entering the final phase of its theatrical run. Released on September 4, the film received a good response during its initial run and crossed the ₹200 crore mark.
However, fresh daily collection figures are not currently available nearly a month after its release. Based on its current trajectory, the film’s theatrical business appears to have slowed considerably.
Monday Box Office Picture Is Clear
Monday’s figures indicate that ‘Drishyam 3’ currently has the strongest position among these releases. The film maintained its momentum after the weekend and earned more than ₹20 crore on Monday.
In comparison, the collections of ‘Prem Keetanu’ and ‘The One’ have fallen significantly. Meanwhile, although ‘Hanuman Ansh’ is now earning less on a daily basis, its long-term collection of more than ₹325 crore remains a major achievement.
Note: Box office figures are based on available trade reports and early estimates. Final figures may vary.
