Amit Shah extends wishes to Amarnath pilgrims, says extensive security and safety arrangements in place

 

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Friday extended his best wishes to devotees undertaking the annual Amarnath Yatra, which commenced today, describing the pilgrimage as a symbol of unwavering faith in Sanatan culture, steadfast patience, self-restraint and an indomitable spirit.

In a post on X, Shah wished all pilgrims a safe and fulfilling journey for the darshan of Baba Barfani. He said the Narendra Modi-led government has made extensive arrangements to ensure a secure and hassle-free pilgrimage. 

According to the Home Minister, a multi-layer security grid has been deployed along the entire route, while QR code-based registration has been introduced. He added that robust arrangements have also been made for pilgrims’ accommodation, healthcare services and disaster management to ensure every devotee’s journey remains safe, smooth and comfortable.
