Akashvani Thiruvananthapuram marks 75 Years with valedictory celebration at Tagore Theatre –
The valedictory function of the 75th anniversary celebrations of Akashvani Thiruvananthapuram will be held today evening at the Tagore Theatre in Thiruvananthapuram. The inauguration will be done by renowned film director and lyricist Sreekumaran Thampi. MLA Antony Raju will preside over the function. Media discussion, special musical program and a photo exhibition of the historical moments of the Station will be held as part of the function.
Akashvani Thiruvananthapuram began its broadcast on April 1, 1950, when the Travancore State Broadcasting Station was integrated into the All India Radio network
