Air India flight from Hong Kong catches fire after landing at Delhi airport

The auxiliary power unit of Air India flight AI-315, flying from Hong Kong to Delhi, caught fire shortly after the plane landed and parked at the gate at the Indira Gandhi International Airport today.

 

According to the Airline, the incident occurred while passengers had begun disembarking. All passengers and crew members are safe.

 

The aircraft has been grounded for further investigations and the regulator has been duly notified.
