Raipur: The Fearless and Flawless community of women, under the banner of NH Goel Finishing School, recently hosted a captivating session on urban gardening, featuring renowned expert Ms. Simi Khanna from New Delhi. The dynamic group of over 100 women, who meet monthly to explore various topics, were inspired by Ms. Khanna’s practical tips and expertise in designing and enhancing urban gardens.
Ms. Khanna emphasized the importance of considering the view from inside the house when planning a garden, creating a focal point, and incorporating hidden features. She also stressed the significance of understanding sunlight direction and careful planning to create a beautiful and functional garden.
The session left the women of Raipur eager to apply Ms. Khanna’s insights to their own urban spaces, furthering their journey of growing green and vibrant gardens in the city. The community’s director, Pallavi Goel, aptly summarized the spirit of the gathering, saying, “Strength is not found in lifting ourselves higher; it is found in lifting others with us.”
