3 women arrested at Calicut Airport for smuggling 34 kg hybrid ganja –
In Kerala, the Customs authorities at the Calicut International Airport in Karipur arrested three women passengers last night for trying to smuggle in 34 kg of hybrid ganja.
The women belonging to Chennai, Coimbatore and Thrissur arrived at the airport on an Air Asia flight from Thailand via Kuala Lumpur. The authorities also seized about 15 kg of chocolates, cakes and biscuits laced with synthetic drugs from the women.
Another incident, two men belonging to Kannur were arrested for smuggling in 18 kg of hybrid ganja, worth about nine crore rupees. The men arrived at the airport from Abu Dhabi on an Etihad Airways flight.
