School Department issues guidelines for offline classes

Raipur, Jul 27: School Education Department on Thursday issued guidelines for conducting offline classes from August 2 following the decision taken by Chhattisgarh Government at the recently held meeting of State Cabinet.
According to the information received, the offline classes of Class X and XII of all the private and government schools would start from August 2. However consent of the concern village panchayat and Parents Committee for rural areas and concern Ward Corporator and Parents Committee of School can provide consent for opening of schools for classes from 1to 5 and Class 8. Without the above consent, the school cannot start offline classes from August 2.
Another key condition for offline classes is that the positivity rate of the concern Districts should be less than 1% for 7 consecutive days. Students have to be called on alternate days for offline classes. The students having problems like cough and cold and fever would not be allowed to sit in the class. Online classes would continue as being held presently. Attendance of students would not be mandatory. School authorities have been asked to ensure adequate cleanliness and follow the Covid 19 appropriate behaviour during the offline classes.
