Meeting to be held again to consider the demands of Farmers Welfare Committee

Raipur, Jan 21: Under the chairmanship of the Minister of Housing and Environment and Forest and Climate Change, Mr. Mohammad Akbar, an important meeting was convened on Thursday in respect of the farmers agitating in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar at his residence office located at Shankar Nagar, Raipur. Urban Administration Minister and Arang MLA Dr. Shivkumar Dahria, MLA Abhanpur Mr. Dhanendra Sahu and Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrat Sahoo and Director Village and City Investment Mr. Jai Prakash Maurya and senior officers of Nava Raipur Development Authority were present in the meeting.
Even after the stipulated time in the meeting, none of the officials and members of the new capital affected Farmers Welfare Committee were present in the residence office of Housing Minister Akbar located at Shankar Nagar. During this, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria informed that prior consent was given for the presence of the Chairman of Farmers Welfare Committee, Mr. Rupan Chandrakar and Executive Chairman of the Committee in the meeting. Dr. Dahria said that the Farmer Welfare Committee asked to give a letter in writing to attend the meeting, the attendance was informed in writing also, but the officials of the Farmers Welfare Committee did not attend. Now after discussion with the Kisan Kalyan Samiti, a separate date will be fixed again.
It is worth mentioning that last day, Forest and Climate Change Minister Mohammad Akbar donated paddy with great humility and respect to the farmers of Nava Raipur, who came to his official residence office in Shankarnagar to ask for Chherchhera. On this occasion, he extended his greetings and best wishes to all the officials and farmers of the Kisan Manch Committee on the occasion of Chherchera festival and Shakambhari Jayanti.
On this occasion, the office bearers and members of Kisan Manch Committee had submitted a memorandum to Minister Akbar regarding the demands of rehabilitation and resettlement in Nava Raipur.
Minister Akbar had discussed with the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and the officials of Nava Raipur Development Authority regarding the demands of the farmers and assured that their demands would be properly resolved.
