Plantation of fruit plants done in Kulgaon

Under the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Incentive Scheme,  the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the planting of fruit-bearing plants in more than one acre of revenue land in village Kulgaon of Kanker forest range on Sunday.
In presence of Deputy Speaker of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Manoj Mandavi, MP Mohan Mandavi, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA of Kanker Assembly Constituency Shishupal Shori, member of Scheduled Tribes Commission Nitin Potai, member of Bastar Development Authority Biresh Thakur, President of Municipal Council Kanker, Mrs. Saroj Jitendra Thakur, District  Former Panchayat President Mrs. Subhadra Salam, Chief Conservator of Forests S.S.  Badgaiyya, Collector Chandan Kumar, Superintendent of Police M.R.  Ahire, Forest Officer Arvind PM 250 fruit plants, mango, jamun, guava, tamarind, safflower, mahua etc. were planted on more than 01 acre revenue land Khasra No. 178 of village Kulgaon.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel spoke to Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Manoj Mandavi, MP Mohan Mandavi, Parliamentary Secretary and Kanker Assembly Constituency MLA Shishupal Shori, present on the occasion, through video conferencing and encouraged them to promote the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Promotion Scheme.  He asked to encourage for plantation, so that people get benefited from it and can get economic income along with environmental protection.  While congratulating Chief Minister Baghel for the implementation of this scheme, Deputy Speaker Manoj Mandavi said that this would encourage tree plantation, as well as increase the income of the farmers.  A provision has been made by the government to give an incentive of Rs 10,000 per acre for planting trees in lieu of paddy, this will encourage people.  Apart from timber, by planting fruit trees, the villagers will get their own consumption as well as sources of income and employment opportunities will also increase.
Praising the Chief Minister’s  Plantation Yojana, MP Mohan Mandavi said that not only will the villagers benefit from this, but wild animals and birds will also get the facility of food, they will not leave the forests and come to the villages.  Under this scheme, plantation of timber, non-timber, fruit trees and bamboo and other minor forest produce and medicinal plants will be done in non-forest areas, due to which the village will get flowers and the income of the villagers will also increase.  Shishupal Shorey, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA of Kanker Assembly Constituency, said that this scheme will be of great benefit, plantation will be encouraged, which will make Bastar prosperous again.
Chief Minister  Bhupesh Baghel spoke to farmer Jeevanlal Jain of village Gitpahar in Charama development block, Lekhprakash Nag, farmer of village Chinouri and Dhanshyam Jurri, farmer of village Paleva through video conferencing and took information from them regarding plantation.  Jeevanlal Jain told that apart from timber, mango, jamun, jackfruit and munga plant would be planted in five acres of land by him.  Lekhprakash Nag said that he has 5 acres of agricultural land, out of which fruit and timber trees will be planted in 2 acres of agricultural land, in which paddy was taken by him last year.  Dhanshyam Juri told that he has a total of 08 acres of agricultural land, out of which a plan has been made to plant Allahabadi Guava in 02 acres of land.
Hemnarayan Gajballa, Vice President of District Panchayat, Jitendra Thakur, former President of Nagar Palika Parishad Kanker, Member of District Panchayat Mrs. Navli Meena Mandavi, Vice President of Janpad Panchayat Kanker, Romnath Jain, District member Rajesh Bhaskar, Sarpanch Kulgaon Kamlesh Padmakar, Smt. Neera Sahu,  Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayat Dr.  Sanjay Kannauje, SDM Kanker Umashankar Bande, President of Bhanupratappur Janpad Panchayat Brijbati Markam and Vice President Sunaram Teta, officials of Forest and Police Department and villagers were present in large number.
