Now as the complaint went viral on social media and Whatsapp groups, inquiries began pouring into the district level police department.
According to the Durg Superintendent of Police Dr Sanjiv Shukla, he directed the Additional Superintendent of Police Suresha Choubey to carry out probe into the matter as soon it came into his knowledge.
In his media interaction, he said that Choubey summoned two of the women constables who had the same name as appeared in the complaint letter and made inquiries if they have indeed such complaints against the named officer of Durg police.
But, he added, as it turned out both of them refused having made any such complaints from which the police conclude that this may have been done deliberately to malign the image of the police officer named in the complaint.
